Rev. Jennifer Karius connected the dots for us in this interactive service about how to live in the world while keeping the "greatest" commandments as taught by Jesus. This focus and practice became a communal reality as we shared thoughts on the scriptures Jennifer referenced from Psalm 146 and Mark 12.

We encourage you to listen closely to the ways these Bible passages from the Old and New Testament encourage us to focus on what's most important in a complex world.

About Jennifer Karius:

Ms. Karius is a seminarian, spiritual director / companion, social and environmental activist, instructor, researcher, facilitator, and former classical performing artist. Hailing from Wisconsin, she went to performing arts school in North Carolina, lived many years in San Francisco, nearly two decades in the Netherlands, and in the NY Finger Lakes region before moving to Pittsburgh last year. She has a BA in International Relations with a focus on religion in political conflict and development. She also holds an MPA and MA in Spirituality and is currently in the Master of Divinity program at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, while she works on matters of equity and democracy.

UNITY PRINCIPLES

God is the source and creator of all; there is no other enduring power. God is good and present everywhere.

We are spiritual beings created in God's image. The spirit of God lives within each person; therefore all people are inherently good.

We create our life experiences through our way of thinking.

Through prayer and meditation, we increase our conscious contact with God, bringing forth love, wisdom, health, prosperity, and everything good.

Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough; we must live them!
