The Pursuit of Happiness

"Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be." Abraham Lincoln

This message is lovingly dedicated to our humanity...all courageous souls...

past, present and future, who have chosen to traverse this physical plane

on a seemingly endless quest for happiness. This is a deeper perspective on “happiness”, while acknowledging that life’s challenges can often derail our attainment of inner peace and joy. With love and respect for all who cope with mental health challenges, we share these (slightly edited) words from Unity co-founder Myrtle Fillmore:

“The moment (you) yield to Godlikeness,

(you let) the Spirit of God burst the shell of doubt and fear,

and the light of faith reveals the light of life.

You become conscious of the joy of life in yourself and in everyone else.”

UNITY PRINCIPLES

God is the source and creator of all; there is no other enduring power. God is good and present everywhere.

We are spiritual beings created in God's image. The spirit of God lives within each person; therefore all people are inherently good.

We create our life experiences through our way of thinking.

Through prayer and meditation, we increase our conscious contact with God, bringing forth love, wisdom, health, prosperity, and everything good.

Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough; we must live them!
